Small crack in plaster wall

Hello!

Going to repaint a room in our new apartment and have discovered a couple of small cracks in a drywall. What are your recommendations for what to do with the crack before painting?

Paper tape and spackle/sand

Open up the crack with a spatula. Carefully dust off, no loose plaster. Repair the crack with repair filler (type multi filler). Sand. Tape with fiberglass tape or paper strip. Apply joint compound. Sand. Paint.
