Intend to build a deck according to the attached image. The width of the house is 7 m and I'm thinking of a deck depth of 4 m (or will that be too small?). So a deck of 7x4 m. The highest point will be nearly 3 m above the ground.
I'm thinking of using 95x95 posts in post shoes drilled and cast into the bedrock. The posts will be continuous and form the railing posts.
I would preferably like to avoid placing a "middle" support beam with extra posts in the middle of the construction. Therefore, I'm wondering how I should dimension the build? What dimension is required for the "frame" beams? 170/195/220? Should the joist beams have the same dimension? What should be the spacing of the joist beams? How much distance can I afford between the posts - is 2 m too much with this construction? Other dimensioning questions to consider?
2 meters spacing between the posts and 45 x220 in both the frame and joists (s600) is probably suitable.
45 x195 is a bit flexible over 4m
Use 28 thick decking to make it feel sturdier.
