Sill insulation under interior wall?
Hi, do you use/what do you use under interior walls that rest on the concrete slab?
I assume you need to protect these as well from moisture from the slab, and I'm wondering if you also use sill insulation there or if you use something else on interior walls that are not load-bearing?
Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking it should also act as soundproofing since I've read that these insulations seal sound. So how does this compare to Isover Vario, for example? I think that since this is something you typically do once, there's no reason to save a few bucks if it means the overall quality is much better with soundproof spaces, etc.J Jansson69 said:
You probably won't notice the sound as long as the frame is tight against the concrete...N Nygge72 said:I'm thinking that it should also act as soundproofing, as I've read that these insulations seal sound, so how is this compared to Isover Vario, for example? If there is so much moisture in the concrete, there are probably major problems with the entire foundation.
But all newly built concrete slabs contain a lot of moisture and all organic material should be protected when in contact with concrete.K kan inte allt said:
Didn't think of that!J Jansson69 said:
That you don't let the concrete slab dry completely before installing interior walls and floors.
I'm building without being a stressed contractor, so my slab was allowed to dry at its own pace.
But even if you dry it out, there should be protection between wood and concrete..K kan inte allt said:
Everyone does it as they want, just a little wondering if it's really necessary if you have a really good foundation with capillary-breaking material, drainage, insulation, and especially if you have a radonmata.
