Silicone seal between window and wall?
Assume you mean internally, as externally it is not suitable.
A joint of some kind is recommended according to many descriptions. See for example here http://www.beijerbygg.se/templates/BB_ByggradListItem.aspx?id=11282
A diffusion-tight elastic soft joint is used there.

http://www.byggtema.com/ has been around for a while and they have sealant for the exterior (and probably for the interior too) but you have to look for it yourself, I'm going to sleep

now I see that I typed the wrong letters in the title. oh well, yes it was on the inside I was thinking of applying a bead instead. not that I would fill all the gaps with several tubes but just run a bead at the very outer edge, or inner edge from inside the house.. hum hum, weatherstrip then.. hum..

Latexfog feels more reasonable, silicone is a tricky material.

If you have a stone house, using a soft sealant like Sikaflex on the exterior is suitable. You can leave a few centimeters unsealed at the top if you want. It won't be completely airtight since you don’t seal under the window sill.
