Hello Byggahus members! My ongoing project is to convert the cold attic in our 70s house into living space, and I've received many good tips in this forum. This is my first post.
I am currently installing a vapor barrier and today I acquired a sealant to achieve better sealing in some difficult areas. Sikas Igas Pistolet seemed to be a suitable product for this purpose. It was only when I got home that I noted the best before date had passed by a month. I tried it anyway, and it was one of the toughest experiences I've had! My persistent attempts to squeeze out the sealant resulted in most of it coming out from the wrong end of the cartridge.
Is Pistolet really supposed to work like this, or is it because it's too old? What are your experiences with this product?

Go back with the patron and get a new one. There must be something wrong.
Thank you for your responses. I spoke with the store today and they agreed that there must be something wrong with the cartridge, and that I'm welcome to exchange it for a new one. Let's hope the next attempt works better.
