Since my bathroom is very small, I want to install a rounded corner shower wall, where the doors can be folded inwards against the walls. But how should I attach the aluminum door tracks? I live in a cooperative apartment and have no idea about the rules. The bathroom is fully tiled. Will gluing the tracks hold? And with what?
Do you mean that I can drill directly into the tile wall without there being any stud behind it?
If it's a stud wall with boards, in most cases it's not okay to attach something that isn't anchored in a stud, not just because of the strength but due to the risk of breaking the waterproofing layer. If you only have an "empty" space behind, there's no way to back the silicone you need for sealing purposes. This was discussed in a rather long thread a while ago, search for it and you might find it.

OK, then I'll have to check how the mounting rails look, whether they go down to the floor or not, and if they have a shape that makes them suitable for gluing. I understand now that it can only be a matter of some form of glue. I hope the people who sell the shower wall can give me advice on which glue can hold. I'm not willing to risk breaking the waterproofing, especially since there might not be any attachable material underneath.
