Short handrail for staircase?

Where can you find a short handrail for an indoor staircase? Should be about 60cm and I found nice ones at Hornbach but they were around 2m...

Considering buying a 45X120 timber and routing it a bit with the router, but I'm not sure how to make it look nice.

Regular timber is probably questionable to use for this. Glue together 2 planed 21mm boards and you'll get a much nicer wood to work with.
