Why choose an H beam in these situations?
Isn't it easier with a square tube? VKR or KKR?

The advantage of HEA is primarily when you want to connect two beams together. It's easy to bolt H beams against each other, but with VKR you have to weld, which you sometimes want to avoid. Otherwise, VKR works just as well internally in the house where it doesn't rust.
