I would need some shims in different sizes to cover 1-15mm with 1mm resolution.
I thought that if I took a tour of a hardware store I would find something I could use for this but found nothing.
Does anyone have a good suggestion? Mainly need something thin (1mm).
Looking for flat shims, not wedges.

1 mm svartplåt?
What shape and size?
When I worked as an outdoor salesperson in a hardware store, we had a large assortment of shims for shafts and also this type of metal sheet that we sold by the meter:

Depends a bit on how much you need. If it's something smaller, you might be able to cut from something you have lying around at home. Otherwise, there are plastic shims available everywhere, though usually only down to 2mm.

These are sold at places like Ahsell and other stores, but also only down to 2 mm. So it's whether it works or not.

Preferably in wood. Plastic could work (it's between wooden studs and I want to screw together through the shims). A 3D printer could be an option. I actually have one myself...
I probably didn't think about it since I've been thinking in terms of wood all along.

But then you should have regular veneer, available in both thin (type 0.8 mm) and thick (1.5-2 mm)

We use pallet shims as mentioned. That's what we carpenters usually do if it needs to be shimmed.
