Hi, I once built up an opening between the hall and kitchen. Now I'm thinking of opening it up again but want the doorway shifted to the right (viewed from the hall).

I want the opening to start about 1030 mm from the right (viewed from the hall).

I want the opening to be about 900 mm.

The studs are quite close in the middle (see image).

How can I most easily create the opening I want? I have plenty of space in the attic to insert a beam.

Considering the space I have available, I might not need to calculate for load-bearing capacity and can be more generous with dimensions.

Low-pitched felt roof.
The ceiling joists hang freely from the back in the kitchen 4.5 m up to this wall. Then about 4.5 from that wall to the next load-bearing. Wall with an incomplete opening between a hallway and kitchen, showing wooden studs, exposed insulation, and construction materials on the floor. A partially demolished wall between rooms, with visible wooden studs, insulation, pipes, and a ladder; construction materials are scattered on the floor. Attic space filled with debris, insulation, and wooden beams; a red strap and pipes are visible in a dimly lit area under wooden ceiling planks. Sketch of a wall structure showing measurements for studs and a previous door opening. Includes notes for repositioning the opening between kitchen and hall.
