Hi
I need to make a hole in the ceiling covered with flat asbestos cement sheets. They might be 40x40 cm, maybe.

I want to cut them on site.

Best method?

Is it time to put on the full mask and use the angle grinder?

Is it possible to score and snap with reasonable precision?

Another method I haven't thought of?

The discs I have encountered can be cut with a type of "utility knife" and snapped.

I'll just have to test that. I'm thinking they're quite old and brittle, so I'm hopeful that it will work.

You definitely want to avoid using the angle grinder if possible.
