Self-leveling compound price...
I talked to my woody dealer and he couldn't go lower than 173 kr/25 kg bag. So I headed to Hornbach with the trailer and was going to take 42 20 kg bags but if you took a whole pallet the price dropped to 114 kr per bag, so I ended up with a whole pallet of 48 bags instead. If you want to use it in the garage, you either need industrial filler or tiles on the leveling compound because it can't withstand the abrasion of the tires.merlrmindre said:

Impressed that you're putting tiles there. But it will be a really nice garage!
Is there underfloor heating as well?
I wonder if the super slippery epoxy coating from Biltema can suffice as a surface treatment on top of "regular" self-leveling compound?

The cheapest spackle is often fiber-reinforced and should be applied in fairly thick layers. If you just want to tidy up the surface, it may be worth checking the minimum spackle height and consumption kg per mm/sqm.
Ardex k14 can be spackled down to 0 and it is 1.4-1.5kg mm/sqm. Such a bag is probably more than twice as expensive as the cheapest from discount stores but can sometimes be worth it anyway... you simply have to calculate and measure your floor. Spackle that can be applied to 0-1mm often flows incredibly well, unlike fiber spackle.

Unfortunately, no underfloor heating. When we moved into the house, the slab was already made, so I couldn't change it exactly. I wanted a drainage channel in the garage, so I cut up the floor and laid the channel and then floated a slope towards it, and then tiles look a bit luxurious, so that's what it became
Very interesting! Couldn't find any information about the leveling properties of Ardex K14 and it was definitely not cheap  but it seems to flow incredibly well. (Starting to feel guilty about thread-stealing.. Sorry!)
