Self-leveling compound price...
I'm wondering if anyone knows what price Hornbach has for self-leveling compound? It's a 70 km drive and they aren't answering the phone. I need 35 bags of 25 kg.
Kakelplattan.se charges 149:- for 25kgs kiilto but wants to know if it can be found cheaper elsewhere. So if you know any other place, let me know.
Ok. I will talk with about the kakelplattan and see if we can lower the price a little.
Call another Hornbach instead, in both Botkyrka and Sundbyberg they usually answer the phone. They can also check if it is available in other stores, but I would think their own flytspackel is a stock item in all stores...
Ok..will try that then. In Malmö, they never answer.
When I think about it, I probably bought a whole pallet then and got a better price... I would guess that Horbach is around 140-150 SEK for 25 kg since you usually get a 10-15% discount for a whole pallet from them...
I will call them tomorrow and we'll see.
Have you tried negotiating with a local hardware store? I have been pleasantly surprised by the willingness to negotiate at one of the local building supply stores. It might also be worth something to avoid driving 2x7 miles.
I have just built an entire garage and got great prices on all the stuff from woody, but I went in yesterday to check what my seller could lower it to: 173:-. I usually get about 40-45% off the prices there, but unfortunately, it was a complete stop at 173:-. (list price 229

Now it's quite a few years ago, but I bought about a ton from kakelplattan. Back then, they were clearly the cheapest, even when considering the shipping cost.
I've talked with several Hornbach stores today and the cheapest is 120 SEK per bag for Mapei Megaplan 20 kg. Kakelplattan.se turned out to be too expensive since just the shipping was over 1000 plus VAT.
Has anyone tried the filler from Billigare byggvaror? It's located in Ystad so I can pick it up, but the question is whether it's any good. I'll be using it in the garage, so I'm not looking for any special leveling compound. They charge 120 kr for 25kgs.
Where did it end up landing? I'm in exactly the same situation, thinking of leveling a garage floor
Started looking into industrial filler to maybe avoid painting the floor (with epoxy lacquer it becomes super slippery) but it goes over 300kr per bag.
