Silicone contains vinegar which causes the metal sheet to rust, latex caulk is for indoor use. It's better to find the right product than to compare brands.

You should use butyl or acrylic.

What's the difference between latex and acrylic?

As stated above, MS-Polymer is the best. Tec7 is one that's recognized as very good!

You're right, it should say alkyd/oil-based.

I don't know much about Tec7, if it doesn't damage the metal, it's probably good.

Take the opportunity to improve the sealing between the glass and the aluminum strip at the bottom. I have similar windows and over time the sealing there cracks, and water on the pane comes down into the aluminum strip and runs out towards the sides where the aluminum strip ends. This eventually causes the frames to rot (been there...)

Yes, the glass is positioned in a groove in the aluminum strip at the bottom. In my case, the existing sealant had started to crack, so I removed the loose parts and then applied a new bead, smoothing it with my finger. I let it dry and scraped off any excess with a razor blade.

Yes, that's kind of the problem. Silicone is perhaps superior but you can't paint on it.

Yes. Water-based paint is recommended. Alkyd paint is also fine but results in a longer drying time, so it is recommended to wait 3-5 days before painting over after the sealant has been applied.

Haha, nice mixture in that tube in that case . It's just a description of what it can be used for is my guess . Check the manufacturer's website instead.

Okay then it should be fine to use Tec7, the question is whether I can also use it to cover up the gaps between the brick and the stumme (wood)? Or should I use something else there (See picture to see that it is not completely sealed, this applies around windows and doors).

You can use Tec7 between wood and brick as well.

Indoors, use latex caulk.
