Hello,

I have had a wall relieved in the basement during hole drilling according to all the rules of the art (I hope).

Anyone have any tips on how to seal this beam so it becomes one with the wall and ceilings?

I would also like information on what type of material can be used to refurbish the bricks, basement wall, and floor according to the pictures.

The house was built in the 1950s, basement walls (outer) are sometimes somewhat damp, drainage is likely non-existent.

  • Basement with an exposed steel beam in a doorway, unfinished brick and plaster walls, and concrete floor. Visible bulb lighting and partially covered materials.
  • Wall with exposed bricks and a hole, surrounded by chipped plaster, in a basement project. Debris scattered on the floor.
  • Damaged basement wall with plaster chipping off onto the floor, exposing patches of underlying brickwork, next to a black rubber mallet and wooden planks.
  • Basement with exposed brick wall and steel beam above doorway; plastic covers construction materials on the floor; lightbulb hanging from ceiling.
