Hello.

A quick question. I have a small guest toilet that includes a toilet and a sink.
I'm thinking of renovating it and wonder if a waterproof layer is required on the floor because of the floor drain for the toilet?

Best regards

The floor is wet zone 1 so sealing layer yes :)

Otherwise, it's entirely up to you. It all depends on the expected lifespan and how you want the insurance to apply and how you stand if there is damage.

Ok great, then subfloor, plasterboard and waterproofing. Should I also go up 50cm on the walls?

I had driven with a 10-15 cm uppvik :)

Formally, I think 5cm up the wall is enough.
