Hello!
I need some input on how to approach this.
We currently have an uninsulated patio "on" the original decking, which means there is air underneath and no insulation from below. I would like to prevent ground moisture and drafts from entering the patio as easily as they do now.

My thought is to place a wind barrier (not plastic) on the existing decking and then add a layer of 22 mm decking on top of that, perhaps even laid crosswise to the existing one. It would also be good to have the raised floor against the tracks and the house.

Is this a reasonable idea or is it unwise? Do you think it would make a difference?

Best regards,
Jim
