Hi, I'm not sure if I can help you, I have similar thoughts and problems. Have you received any good answers elsewhere? In my case, I have paving stones and sill logs, which should be less problematic since stone doesn't absorb moisture like concrete/leca blocks. The advice I've received so far revolves around using foam sealant. I was considering using lindrev but spoke with a carpenter who didn't think it was a good idea, maybe between the sill paper and wood, not between concrete/stone and wood. Foam sealant remains, but I'm generally against using foam sealant, so I'm interested if anyone has a better suggestion.
@RaskBjörn What was the issue with lindrev? And is the stance on foam sealant due to environmental reasons? I imagine the best would be to seal between the base paper and the wood. Considering inserting a träkyl.
There was probably no real problem using 'lindrev'. When I think about it, it was likely more due to the holes being too large to seal with just 'lindrev', and that you shouldn't have it between wood and concrete/mortar without a capillary-breaking material in between. I avoid foam for environmental and health reasons, but also because I'm not so sure about its structural properties in all conditions or in the long term. The idea of a wooden wedge might not be so bad, maybe a wooden wedge and 'lindrev' between 'sylstock' and 'syllpapp' depending on the size of the gap, thanks.MatthewCampbell said:
