Hi, I installed a new patio door yesterday and it was a bit tricky to get it straight since the door frame aligns with the window frame.

When I added the trim, I noticed a small gap between the trim and the door frame that I can't seem to fix.

Is there a good sealant I can use to fill between the trim and the door frame? Thanks in advance.

Regular white adhesive/sealant? If the gap is a few mm.

Like for example
Tube of illbruck SP054 construction adhesive, white color, suitable for filling gaps a few millimeters wide.

The gap is about 4-5mm

A picture of the problem helps.
But my answer is outdoor use sealant.
Or sealant behind and a suitably prepared cover strip over.
