I am going to install a fire door between the house and the garage and my question is whether it needs special insulation for packing around the door?
Can you use regular wooden casing or are there requirements for steel casing?
The door is wooden, ei30.

there are "brand" drives but they are not relevant.
works fine with regular drive insulation and wooden trim

You don't think they'll burn up if they're burning next to the door?
Is there any law that requires certain insulation so you don't make a mistake and the insurance doesn't cover any fire?

If it is a fire-rated door, you must use fire-resistant sealant, alternatively fire foam.

Does it work with the stuff around the ducts for the kitchen fan?

There are special branddrevs strips available at a real hardware store. They are green and can be purchased individually.

Snailman
It's called paroc FPY1... I think it comes in 0.9-meter lengths, available at beijerbygg...

common drev has the same value as the door.
had it been a door with a higher fire rating, it would have received "brand"drev
