Screwing into rock, what is needed??
I am going to cast posts on rock and want to anchor the post form into the rock. I was thinking of using some simple angle iron and screwing/attaching it to the rock.
What is the screw, spike nail?, that I'm looking for called and how do you do it?

Sure, it might be easier? But isn't there a risk that there will be a "fracture" where you continue with the casting later?
I've never done this before but thought it would be nice to get everything level and then fix the mold against the rock.

Relief! Yes, 3 pieces of 16mm iron per footing. The footings are 200x200 with a point. I also got a bit worried that I drilled the holes too close and centered. I'll probably have ample coverage for certain corners. Will it work, or should I add an extra hole, do you think?mexitegel said:
That will surely be good, the rebar should not be too close to the surface of the concrete either. There's a risk it will be exposed to moisture and start to rust, resulting in cracked concrete.
