Hello!
I have had drywall sheets installed in my garage, and afterwards, I wondered about the length of the drywall screws used and saw that they were 30mm. The walls in the garage are constructed as follows (from outside to inside),
Panel, furring strips, wind barrier, stud/insulation 95mm, vapor barrier, OSB, and now also drywall.
So, the 30mm drywall screws have gone through the OSB boards a few mm and penetrated the vapor barrier. How significant is this? The screws are there, so there aren't any holes as such. I tried taking a piece of loose vapor barrier and driving a screw through it, and it feels like the thread seals the hole well.
I should also mention that the OSB boards are 120 and the drywall is 90cm, meaning the drywall is screwed both into studs and directly through the OSB. The garage is heated to 16c, with a constant humidity of 45%.
What does the expertise say?

It's tight, you have a screw in every hole.

You can also see it this way.......How are the OSB boards attached? Glued to the plastic?

Yes, of course, I wrote before I thought... just saw the screws in the same studs... I’ll blame it on some temporary confusion.W Weissach said:
