I need to install a cabinet frame rule on a wall. The wall is from the 1940s and porous to drill into, and black dust comes out of the hole. I had the same situation in a previous 1940s apartment, and I eventually had to bring in a craftsman to secure a plank to the wall after failing with all the plugs I had at home.
Question: Can I use concrete screws (like Essve)? Otherwise, which plug or contraption works?
Now this isn't a critical construction part, but I'd like to know because this will be the case in most walls...
