Screw inner ceiling of rough boards
Have demolished 3 smaller rooms that will become a bathroom and am planning to install the ceiling with raw wood planks 16x95 against a framed structure of 45x45 studs and then gypsum on top of that.
What type of screws should be used? Regular decking screws? Do you screw in the middle or with hidden fastening in the tongue? I don't want to use nails.

Why should you have raw wood behind the plasterboard?
If you are plastering over the raw wood, it doesn't matter if the screw is visible. Screw in the middle of the board.
However, if the raw wood is meant to be visible, you nail at a 45° angle into the notch with brads and countersink with a nail set.

I'm putting tongue-and-groove planks because it was there before, and I want it to match the rest of the upstairs (sturdy).
I've calculated that it's easiest to screw in the middle of the board.
I was mostly wondering WHAT kind of screws are used for tongue-and-groove. Or am I the only one who wants to screw?
Now I'll probably end up nailing everything, since I only have chipboard screws at home for the purpose.
