We want to use 22 mm råspont as cladding in the ceiling and have ceiling battens 70 x 28 mm to attach to. The recommended nail length is 75 mm, but then we will puncture the vapor barrier... Can the attachment be solved in another way? Grateful for advice/tips!
Otherwise, nail in the tongue. But if you only want it as an interior surface, a brad will suffice. Or do you want visible nails?
I have installed 150sqm of paneling on the ceiling with an 18g nail gun, 1.2x50 mm, and it's holding. I wouldn't want to hammer in that position.

That sounds promising! We would prefer to hide nails/screws. 1.2 x 50 mm brad in the tongue ... not in the groove?
It's not super important with the length if you're screwing. It will hold.
However, try to find thin screws. I first had some 3.2mm ones that worked perfectly to screw in directly. When they ran out, I bought 4.2mm, and they could sometimes crack, so I had to start pre-drilling for these. Now, it wasn't 22mm råspont I had but 17mm.

Thanks for the valuable advice and tips!
