Sawing method for a veneer board without getting splinters?
I cut a particle board with an oak veneer (cover board for kitchen frames) in my table saw, and it chipped the veneer.
Should I try using the more finely toothed plunge saw instead?
- Maybe complement with tape where the cut will be?
Or is hand sawing with a Japanese saw or something preferable?

It can help to run just 1mm deep on the first pass. And fasten the board to another board, that will support the veneer and then you won't get splinters on the underside.
Tape can work, but I often find it doesn't hold well enough.
