Have a newly built house in Ytong plastered inside and outside with render C.
I think that in some rooms it has become a bit "too rough," that is, there hasn't been enough floating so the wall becomes "gritty" from the aggregate.

I'm now considering fixing this either by gypsum plastering and brushing to get texture, or alternatively applying another layer of render C and floating it more.

But I'm pondering a crazy idea of whether one could instead sand off the coarse aggregate and thus get rid of the roughness in the texture?
Anyone who has tested or can say that the idea is completely off track?

I would never dare to sand plaster. There's probably a risk of tearing the surface and pieces coming off.

Okay, anyone else have an idea?
Another question on the topic; how "rough" of a surface can one work with when sweeping plaster?
