Hello!
We have a walk-in closet that is currently accessed through a door in the hallway. We are considering creating an opening from the bedroom instead, which would make it easier to navigate the wardrobe.

My question is: Can we create a door or a larger opening in a non-load-bearing wall without the board's approval?
Or do we need to check with the board first to make sure it's okay to do?
Is there perhaps someone who knows where to find good sliding doors for such a project?

Best regards,

rulten

No, you don't need to ask the board for permission, but be prepared for conflict and disputes, because the board is likely not sufficiently informed to know this.

Aha, ok, is it only if you take down entire walls that you need to get approval?

You must ask for permission if it is a significant change and you can read about this in this thread.
