We are plastering our brick wall with the following layers:
1. Finja "Grundningsbruk A"
2. Finja "Puts & Murbruk C"
3. Finja "KC Putsbruk C - FIN" 0-1mm
4. Paint with silicate paint
We wish to have a fine surface finish, not rough, and have the following considerations:
- Can we use a pigmented spray plaster and skip steps 3 and 4 above? I'm thinking of "Finja Stänkputs KC 0-1mm". It's important that it can be worked into a smooth layer, not rough.
- If yes to the above question, do we really need to apply the spray plaster in 2 layers? It says so in the product description, but when I compare with other manufacturers, they don't have this requirement.
- The reason I'm considering spray plaster is that I've heard I otherwise have to wait at least 1-2 months until the plaster has cured before I can paint with silicate paint. This would mean I have to wait until next spring, since winter comes in between. Is the waiting time accurate, i.e., when is the earliest I can paint with silicate paint?
- How much more expensive is spray plaster compared to silicate paint? I am referring to the material cost only, roughly?
Grateful for any input!
