Nice of you to share! I'm a bit curious as to why there are such large spaces. Do you have a castle or a manor house?
Those who envision a small simple homemade cellar shouldn't get discouraged now. It's also a useful option.

Has anyone said that Leca withstands soil pressure? I was told that the only thing that works is reinforced fundablock or cast reinforced concrete.
We laid bricks on the roof mold, grouted, and poured concrete on top. Quick, easy, and without neck pain. :)
No problem building a root cellar with Leca, there are even ready-made guides from the manufacturers online.

A semicircular arch is probably no problem, but a vertical wall might be another matter? I seem to recall that the construction instructions from the manufacturer of Leca are specifically for round arches?

That's true, but if properly reinforced with reinforcement bars, you can build basement walls with Leca, right? I realize it's a bit more complex than my quick answer, but if the walls and the vault arch provide each other with the correct support, it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Why have you split the construction into two threads here on BH?

Isn't it normal to start your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's?

W-O-W!
How does it work with building permits underground? Is it the same as building permits above ground?
Do you have contacts with all those who help you, or have you had to outsource the help?
I can't even estimate what something like that would cost to do. :)

Nice!

Exciting solution with the sand floor. Otherwise, it's usually concrete across the entire slab. I've often seen this solution abroad, but very rarely in Sweden. How much reinforcement did you use under the walls?

What kind of brick floor have you chosen? I’d gladly take tips on suppliers :)
Hi!
I haven't bought the brick for the floor yet, there are companies that have nice antique floors, but then those cost 1000-1500 SEK per m2.

Reinforced with a friendly mesh, rebar, and 100mm of concrete on top.

Det är väl inget konstigt att starta en egen tråd istället för att kapa någon annans?
I see that now, the pictures were posted in a thread created by another user.
Sorry!
Fun with your own thread for this build!

Absolutely fantastic.

You MUST have a hidden door from the house as well.

Also gives an even better Fritzl vibe.

Or at least a hidden door between the man cave and the wine cellar! The classic one with a bookshelf where you pull a book would have been extremely cool!! :D:D:D
