Root Cellar/Wine Cellar
Considering that the same images were published over a year ago, there is probably activity in the premises....

Soon the trinette and bunk beds will be in place.
Otherwise, it’s phenomenally thought out. The possibilities for use are endless. Just hope it doesn’t turn into a storage room over time.
Isn't there a risk that the well halves will calve?

Just wanted to show how I made my wine cellar. If anyone has suggestions for improvement or ideas, feel free to comment.
I have concluded that it's not ideal to use a Platon mat on the ceiling.
It's too tight. You want to achieve a 70% humidity that should be able to wander in through the floor/wall. I only have 100mm stone wool ground insulation and geotextile
along with Isodrän board on the wall and geotextile.
It will be a heated (Man Cave) and pool house on top, a pool next to it, and 2 wine cellars with entrance from the basement.
For the ceiling, I used concrete pipes for wells split in half, 100mm ground insulation, and a sheet.
Inside, there will be brick on a sand floor, a brick roof, and plaster on the walls, to achieve as stable a climate as possible.
I have 35m ground pipe 4m below ground for air intake, to cool the air in summer and warm it in winter. I have 3 entries for ventilation, 1 in the tunnel to the wine cellar (pre-cooling) since the adjacent room is heated, and one in each cellar, plus out-air in the ceilings.
I have also directed the cooled exhausted air into my root cellar.
I have a good link for things to consider when building a root cellar.

I've concluded not to use a membrane on the ceiling.
As it becomes too airtight. You want to achieve a 70% humidity level which should be able to permeate through the floor/wall. I only have 100mm rock wool ground insulation and ground cloth.
As well as insulating boards on the wall and ground cloth.

I have 35m ground pipes 4m below ground for inlet to the ventilation so the air cools in the summer and warms in the winter. I have 3 intakes on the vent, 1 in the tunnel to the wine cellar (pre-cooling) as the adjacent room is heated, and one in each cellar with exhaust in the ceilings.
I've also redirected the cooled exhaust air to my root cellar.
