Why does my garage have different spacing between the roof trusses? The three outermost on each side are spaced at 120cm centers. The others are between 40 to 60 cm. Is there any specific reason for this? There are no signs of lifting devices or similar that have been attached to the ceiling inside the garage. The garage is originally from the 1990s.

Upload a picture or drawing, it's easier to see.

We also have different cc, but not a clue why.

Is it standalone or attached to the house, and if so, is it attached to the house where the rafters are closer together?

What do you mean? Are there only 40 cm between the trusses? How many are spaced that closely?

Ah, I can't easily and quickly upload a picture now, but between truss 1 and 2 and 2 and 3, there is c-c 120, between 3 and 4, 4 and 5, 5 and 6, 6 and 7, there are different distances. Everything from 40 to 60 cm c-c. Between 7 and 8 and 8 and 9, it's 120 cm. The only door that exists is between trusses 7 and 8. A simple garage door with a width of about 60-70 cm. Maybe there is no answer to the question? :-) Maybe they simply ordered too many trusses :-)

Maybe it was a preparation for a lifting device.
