Risk of twisting wooden keys in the keyboard....
Don't know where this question fits best but I'll take a chance here...
For various reasons that don't need further description, I've had a keyboard packed in an OSB box, standing in an unheated space since August last year. The keyboard has wooden keys but no wood otherwise.
How can I best "acclimatize" this poor thing without the keys warping? (I've had experience with a small Br. Lager piano where some keys warped lengthwise and rendered the affected keys unplayable... in a normal indoor climate - depending on the season)
I have an unheated attic that is fully insulated, where we hang clothes. My acoustic guitars have stayed there, and I've checked on them regularly to see if they're doing well. They've been fine since August...
The plan is to unpack the keyboard and let it join the guitars, to later (mid to late March?) let the instruments move into the cabin in a room where it's not too warm (but somewhat warmer than the attic) for further acclimatization.
Can any moisture content expert say if the plan is thought out correctly?

Can't you remove the keys and store them in an appropriate place?
Label underneath where they should sit exactly.

We moved a piano from an unheated space many years ago. It was indeed a really old one - and more sensitive, I would think. The piano tuner suggested it should be moved only when it became warm, i.e., at the end of May. Then it was accompanied by two buckets of water to increase the humidity in the house. Not sure if this is applicable to you.
