Hi,
We have started some renovations and just wanted to double-check if there is a risk of asbestos in the insulation? I know you can send in samples, etc., but I was mostly wondering if it is possible to tell directly.
The house was built in '74.

  • Insulation inside a wall cavity from a house built in 1974, showing yellow and fibrous material near wooden and mesh structures, possibly containing asbestos.
  • Image of old insulation in a corner, potentially containing asbestos, with visible fibers and wood framing, in a house built in 1974.
No. Sometimes found in pipe insulation.

Agree with the previous speaker. No asbestos in that insulation.
