Where can you buy affordable risers for the staircase? I'm renovating the staircase and installing new wooden steps; I was thinking of using white risers since the surface in my old staircase is so uneven and old. What do you use as risers and where do you buy them?

It depends a bit on the step height. Tongue and groove floorboards or planed pine are probably the simplest options. Both are available at most building suppliers.

What steps did you use, Lundbergs as you wrote above or something else?
I've ordered from Lundbergs myself. I had hoped they would arrive by the end of the week so I could install them over the weekend - but no.
Do you have any good experiences to share before I start the same project?
The steps themselves are a wooden floor, the same that we have in the basement where you come down, I cut the risers from white window sills, it was the most cost-effective.P_Larsson said:

I didn't buy one of those templates you can use to measure the steps but instead cut templates out of cardboard and used them as a template when I cut with the plunge saw.
Something I should have done was paint everything white before I put the steps in to avoid masking, it saves time.
