Hello! I'm considering installing reverse board batten as paneling (possibly also randomized in four different widths). A couple of questions immediately come to mind:

- How closely can you set the outermost panel with regard to swelling? 5 mm? Closer?

- How do you handle window placement if you don't want window trim? Should the windows be set flush with the second outermost batten (that is: asfa 12 mm + horizontal batten 34 mm + vertical batten 21 mm = 68 mm out from the framing) and then let the paneling function as trim?

- Or should the windows be set flush with the first batten (34 mm)?

- How far out can you set windows without issues?

- How do you install drip caps? I'd prefer to have them up to the asfaboard. Should the drip cap be a plank wider than the window perhaps?

Thoughts, solutions, or experiences??
