I need to replace a part of my sill, about 2 meters (rotten).
The previous sill is 70x120, but that dimension is a bit special nowadays.
Is there any problem with joining three pieces of 45x70 instead, and should I consider anything specific in such cases? Do you have any tips on insulation under the sill? Today there's something that looks like a plastic-wrapped sealing strip (1970s house).
I know it's probably possible to special order the dimension, but I'm in a bit of a hurry to get this done.

Two 45x120 side by side are more stable than stacking three 45x70 without fully gluing them.

I might have been a bit unclear, the sill is 70 high and 120 wide. I had two options, two pieces of pressured 34x120 stacked on top of each other or to join 3 pieces of 70x45 side by side =70x135 which would be a bit wider but would work. Since I didn't want to use pressured, I ended up joining 3 pieces and it worked well enough. One could have solved it by complementing with glue too, but it became a bit urgent since I had the patio door removed and wanted to restore it. Thanks for the response.
