Hi, I'm renovating a living room and have a dull wallpaper with fabric on the wall. Right now there's some kind of board that looks like Masonite but is about 12mm thick.
Is it worth tearing them down and installing new drywall? What would you do? I want a good result, also want to put OSB behind it. Previously, we've used renovation wallpaper but I don't think it turns out so well. Does anyone have any advice?

  • A partially peeled wall showing old wallpaper layers, revealing a board beneath, possibly masonite, next to a window.
  • Floral patterned wallpaper with a textured fabric look, featuring yellow and brown flowers on a wall.
