I have a couple of walls in a basement from 1960 where I need to repair the plaster.

I have chipped away the loose plaster and need help choosing plaster/mortar. I know nothing about this, so your knowledge would help me get it right!

Also sending a couple of pictures, some where the plaster has come off and some pictures where I have torn down a wall.

All walls are exterior walls.

  • Damaged basement wall with loose plaster removed, showing exposed brick behind. Wall from the 1960s requiring repair.
  • Close-up of a basement wall with damaged plaster near a window, showing areas where plaster has fallen off, revealing the underlying surface.
  • Damaged plaster on a yellow basement wall from the 1960s, showing an area with removed loose plaster, revealing an underlying surface.
  • Cracked plaster on a 1960s basement wall showing missing sections, revealing rough underlying surface, needing repair with suitable rendering material.
  • Damaged basement wall with removed plaster, showing exposed brick and concrete. The 1960s wall needs repair suggestions.

But by the window, you'll probably need to use ardex a46 first.

Old thread, but just want to say that it looks like there might be some blåbetong in the walls if you weren't already aware of it. Of course, it doesn't have to be a problem but it's good to know.
