Repair of wall behind the kitchen sink
Hello,
I know there are a number of similar threads but can't find anything that matches my problem.
I'm going to tear out my old kitchen and then install a new one. Today I removed the sink and it felt like I brought half the wall with me. The water pipes run in the cavity behind (see second picture). Do you have any tips on how I repair this? The new counters will end approximately where the masonry block ends.
This is how it looked after I removed the sink. A loose masonry block

Below is the actual cavity inside with water pipes, etc.

Seems to be an apartment, the pipes in the wall are probably the drainage pipes (stammarna) and water, going up in the building, the neighbor likely has their kitchen wall-to-wall with yours, so fill in some pieces to make it good (there should be a hole inside there) and some plaster to smooth it out. Regular lime mortar works well.
Correct. The neighbor has a kitchen wall to wall. Will just have to try and seeR rävlyan said:Seems to be an apartment, the pipes in the wall are probably the drainage pipes (stammas) and water, upward in the building, the neighbor probably has their kitchen wall to wall with you, so mortar in some pieces and it will be fine, (there should be a hole inside there) and some plaster to smooth it out.
