Managed to drop a filled box from a closet in our attic storage and the corner hit the drywall, creating an indentation about 5-7cm in circumference, similar to pressing a pipe end against the wall. There are cracks around it, but the central part, although indented a few mm, is not loose, though you could probably push it in with some force. Went to hardware stores and looked, found building fix 750 grams for most materials, but it apparently becomes a bit concrete-like when dried (perhaps more suitable for hard materials?). Then found a type of drywall fix meant for patching drywall before wallpapering that would probably work for the damage, and is also sandable with sandpaper, which the building fix doesn't mention. A clear advantage if you can sand it easily. But the drywall fix comes in a 2.5 kg package, and I want as small as possible. Both are in white (like the drywall). Which would you recommend for the damage or something else? I want it to look smooth and good, might have to paint over if the color scale differs.

I similar cases, I usually saw out the damaged section with a hole saw, insert a piece of trim or something similar into the hole, and screw it in place across the hole. Then, saw out a new plaster piece from a new plasterboard with the same hole saw and press it into place, screw it in. Spackle, sand, and paint.
Thanks, I saw those patches, 5 for 215 bucks or so.. would love to manage cheaper. I don't think I need to go there with any passbit since the damage is an indentation with surface cracks.. but maybe it's better and nicer with the patch than to putty the damage directly? But is construction fix—for all materials like plaster, hard materials, gypsum, etc.—a bit too coarse for this and better with "targeted putty" specifically for gypsum? If I can find a smaller package than the 2.5 kg I found, that would be great.. I would only need about a dl.
