I have managed to hit an outer corner on a wallpapered drywall so that about a 2 cm piece of drywall has come off. :(

Does anyone have tips on how to patch it up so that it looks OK, without having to re-wallpaper the entire walls?

Technique for evenly spackling holes on outer corners?

Put on a corner strip so you won't have the same problem again.

There are sheet metal profiles for outer corners that you can plaster in, making the corner more durable. There are also tape variants, I don't know how they compare to metal... but one can guess.

Do as daje says... Corner molding is best...
JOW: She doesn't want to redecorate now... But your tip is good for when they redo it next time...

Oops, that was the little condition too :)

Today you can buy corner trim in plastic, wood, and metal. If you glue it all the way, you avoid problems. If you need to putty, you should mask around it. And do NOT use regular putty. Model plaster or rep fix.
