How is the best way to repair a cracked marble slab? I have a countertop in the outdoor kitchen with an old marble slab. It has now cracked, and I would like to fix it somehow. I'll never be able to put the loose pieces back in place, so I need something that fills the gaps in a nice way. Does anyone have any tips?

I have with reasonably good results bought marble crush (gravel) at the flower shop. I used a mortar to crush it into a powder, which I then mixed with epoxy glue and filled the crack with.
