In my workshop, I have a cast slab in one corner, I think there was a stove there before.
Anyway, it has cracked in one corner, and I would like to repair it. How can I do it so that it holds? At the inner end, it is intact and fine. I was thinking of using it to place heavy objects on.
Cracked concrete slab in a workshop corner, with visible damage and debris on the wooden floor, possibly used for heavy storage.

You can repair with concrete so it becomes smooth, but it probably won't handle the load very well. Distribute the pressure with a checker plate on top instead.

You can chisel away what is loose and then build a mold and cast in it.
Since there seems to be a crack upwards/right, there is a pretty big risk that not much will be left.

Åsa's suggestion is not so bad, it might even be enough with a plywood board if it's easier to find and you don't want a stove there.

Sheet metal does not rot either, if it is left lying around for a long time :-)

Thanks for the tips! I think I'll tidy it up, and then put some kind of plate on it. :)
