Renovation wallpaper that is thick?
I have a large interior ceiling that I am going to plaster and paint. I have done this before on two other ceilings in the house with varying results:
The first ceiling turned out the best when I used some kind of renovation paper as a "fabric" before painting the ceiling. I am quite skilled at plastering, so not even the imperfections are noticeable in the light.
The problem is, I've forgotten what type I used!
For the second ceiling, I used something recommended by the paint store, which I found to be thinner and worse. And sure enough, all the imperfections are visible in the light...
Now, I'm quite particular and would like to know which type of fabric (preferably without fiberglass) is best and thickest for this purpose!
I could even consider some kind of felt-based fabric as long as it is thick enough to even out.

The primed microlit/painting fabric I used was significantly stiffer and not as pliable as the unprimed microlit I've used. Not as stiff as renovation wallpaper. Somewhere in between.
I bought the primed canvas at Nordsjö Idé och Design. I haven't seen it in the hardware stores. It might be available, but not where I usually shop.
