Hello.
I am in the process of renovating a house built in '74.
What I'm wondering about are the vinyl flooring and if there is glue with asbestos.
The room description states that the wet room flooring is "fully welded vinyl flooring on steel-polished concrete."
I suspect that the flooring has been heat-treated, or did they use asbestos in some way as well? The seams are usually heat-treated, but in this case, I guess the entire flooring is heat-treated, and there are also no seams in the bathroom.

Regarding the other vinyl flooring, I planned to cut away a piece and send it for analysis. But I realize that the flooring is more or less floating. Asbestos was used a lot because it was "so strong," so the flooring should still be glued if asbestos was used here, right?

Bonus question! According to the inspection report, the room in the basement is a risk construction due to the framed walls with foam and a wood base that measured 21%. Again, according to the room description, it says "smooth concrete and foam." When I removed a piece of gypsum, I see that the gypsum is glued, and in any case, I don't see any wooden frame at the bottom; the foam is resting directly on the concrete. So now I'm thinking of repairing my hole and removing the wallpaper, then painting, and so on. But I will put down Platon and 30 mm foam to then lay water-based floor heating and tiles. Any inputs on this?

I know that only an analysis test can determine the matter, of course. But one makes a personal assessment of whether a test is necessary or not. So I would appreciate some inputs on whether I'm thinking correctly on the above questions.

I don't know if this post ended up in the right forum, but I didn't find anything else that fit.

Thanks in advance

Glue under vinyl flooring is usually black if it contains asbestos and yes, it tends to be very tough.
Nothing to worry about.
