Can you also paint the outside of this element with regular radiator paint?

Looks a bit dull when the rest of the room is fixed.
Ei saa peittää. An electric radiator gets significantly hotter than one with water.

Works great!

Edit: that was painted about 5 years ago .. Now we have about 20 degrees indoors .. But the radiator doesn't get that hot ..

  • Thermostat and heater with a painted wall background, from a renovation 5 years ago, showing indoor temperature setting at 20 degrees Celsius.
The old toasters can get quite warm, would without a doubt switch to oil-filled ones instead.

Nice! I'm not planning to keep the house for long, it will be sold. So as long as it holds and is safe to paint on, I intend to do so.

I did read now on my radiator paint:
The paint withstands up to 80 °C and works excellently on water and oil-filled radiators.

Then maybe you don't dare?

Or?

Maybe time to change the element? The insulation around the cables dries out over time and there can be a short circuit.

The element is lacquered from the beginning, so we're not talking about extreme temperatures ...

Talk to your paint shop, I don't remember which paint I bought, but I haven't seen any problems at all, whether color change, smell, or anything else in the 5 years my elements have been painted ...
