I have a lacquered pine staircase from '81 that needs renovating.
It will be painted, and probably new felt will be added to the steps.
Currently, it is partially enclosed between the steps, and I am planning to
close the rest as well.
What kind of timber should I use for this? It's going to be painted white as planned..
