I am in the process of planning to plaster a wall where there used to be plaster, but for some reason it was removed, exposing the log wall, and it was clad with paneling. Now the paneling will be removed and replaced with plaster...

But the question is what is needed to create a good foundation for this? I have read a bit and reinforcing mesh with reed and netting seems to be good for this.

Is that what should be used, or are there other tips and advice regarding this?

Are you going to use clay plaster on the wall?

Are you thinking about lime plaster?

Galvanized plaster mesh is a good base for plaster.
