Rendering on chipboard?

Hi! Is it possible to have plaster on a chipboard, or something similar that gives the same feel? I have put up a wall along the stairs down to the basement with chipboard and would like this wall to match the other walls (which are concrete with painted plaster).

Use a structure paint from the paint store, but it will crack over the board joints!
Apply a 6mm renovation plasterboard, fill, and paint!

apply a renovation plaster and then mix plaster mortar and brush it on...Textured paint works but costs more....
